Sometimes it’s just a simple custom garage flake system, or a routine grind and seal with a custom looking stain but each install has its own special signature to it that makes it unique. Here are some tips that will help you find the look that you want without the cost and maintenance of other floor systems.
A customized floor can sound overwhelming and daunting when we do a “show and tell” of all the options that are available. Here are some things that can help you on your search!
With any type of floor that you have installed, you have to remember that it’s a process and not just a product. Our liquid coatings have dry times and cure times, as well as the concrete being resurfaced needs to be prepped and adequately treated to assure that the surface will bond with the materials we use. Our materials and systems can range from epoxy, polyaspartics, quartz carpet, grind and seals, simulated hardwood, decorative rock, stamps or overlays, and so much more!
Google, flip through magazines, brainstorm, and take pictures of all the different types of flooring you would like to see in your own home that you see around you. For example, if you see a floor in a retail shop, restaurant/bar, office, or showroom, etc. Try to narrow down all of your ideas to at least 4 choices.
Pictures are key!! The more pictures you can show us with the colors you would like to see, the better! Also, if there is a place in town that you recently went to and admired the floor, let us know the name and area. We are happy to go visit and get an idea of what you are looking at.
Keep in mind what surface of your home or office you are wanting to update and the benefits you are hoping to achieve once it’s finished. Some examples are below:
Resistant to scratches from pets, furniture, dropped objects, heavy foot traffic, etc.
A surface resistant to stains or chemicals.
Will the coating have slip resistant properties? We have materials in stock that have natural slip resistant properties!
Are you looking for something with the least amount of maintenance and upkeep? We have those options!
Do you want something that has the look and feel of hardwood, tile, or marbled flooring without the cost? We have those also!
